Goldfinger and Rebecca
Book covers are really important to me, especially those of books I keep returning to. These are first editions of the two novels, one of which I'm going to 'place' on my shelf in the Unbound library. I own a very tattered copy of Goldfinger (jacket design by Richard Chopping) although it isn't my favourite Bond book. I'd love to own the Gollancz edition of Rebecca. In both cases, it's memories of going to Elm Grove Library Southsea then sitting down with a mug of hot chocolate, spaniel beside me, that make me feel happy even before I start reading. Do you have a favourite book cover? Does it affect how you view the book?

Yes, it really does. Esp, if there's tactile feedback from the cover :)

I like the sound of tactile feedback, Kim! Two people have pledged for unique books so perhaps I should make at least one of them suitably tactile. In fact, I have thought about using shark skin as a cover but I only have a small scrap. It should be something viking, don't you think?
