The Arrow of Apollo: 61 %

Dear All,

As the snow rages outside, you may be thinking: now's the time I'd like to sit down and curl up with a book. You may even be wondering how long it will take for this one to appear.

Funding is progressing well, and my target is to reach completion within the next 4 months. Having reached 60 % it now seems a lot more achievable. Once that has happened, the book, which is currently in draft form will go into the editing stage. This may take a couple of months. After this, Unbound will schedule the book for a time that is most suitable.

In the meantime, although I haven't been watching TROY: FALL OF A CITY, a production which I am sure is both accurate, well-written and non-sensational, I have been writing some pieces about the myths that led up to the Trojan War here.

The program is however evidence that these myths continue to enthral and to entertain. The city of Troy and its fall are powerful symbols: it is hard to escape the shadow of those topless towers.

Best wishes, thank you to all who have contributed, and Onwards and Upwards,

Philip Womack
