There are now six weeks left until Ten Little Astronauts' Christmas funding deadline, so I thought this would be a good time to bring out a new option for anybody thinking of putting in a pledge for the book as a gift for someone else. The actual ebooks and paperbacks won't be available for a while after the crowdfunding campaign ends, so in order to provide people with a material something to give on Christmas Day (or any other occasion), I'm offering to send out signed certificates in the post:
This one is just an example. Obviously I'll fill in the names and sign it, but on top of that I'm happy to replace the above text with any message you like. You might want to mention if you've opted for a gift including rewards beyond the book itself, or just opt for something a little more personal overall.
I can print these at A4 or A5, and am willing to make pretty much any other tweaks you can think of: if you want one, simply let me know through the contact form on my website. You can also ask questions through the Q&A section on Ten Little Astronauts' page here on Unbound, but anything you post will be publicly visible: not ideal if you want the gift to be a surprise!
If you've been behind Ten Little Astronauts since the beginning, you might recall that I set up a gift card design a while back with the idea that people could print these off themselves. That's still an option, but if you'd prefer to get one signed and sent, I'm happy to post them too.
A pledge for a book makes for an interesting gift - a name in the back of Ten Little Astronauts will last a whole lot longer than a box of chocolates! - and I hope these options will help make it that little bit more special. It's also worth bearing in mind that if you've already pledged for a paperback yourself and want to give another one as a gift, you can simply upgrade your pledge to the "Read With A Friend" option rather than fork out for shipping again.
As always, anything you can do to help spread the word about Ten Little Astronauts will do wonders for its prospects. If you know anybody who you think would enjoy it, please consider gifting them a copy. If you know anybody who's shopping around for an extra special present for someone, do point them to this page and suggest they send me a message.
You can help make this book happen. Please share it, and encourage your followers to share it, too.
