NEW TITLE! PLUS A PROGRESS UPDATE & ANOTHER BIG THANK YOU
Perhaps you will have noticed that the book now has a new title? - THE TANGO EFFECT - a slimmer, smarter, catchier title, with a subtitle 'Parkinson's & the healing power of tango'. The original was a working title we settled for when the book was first accepted by Unbound. In an online conversation about the cover design last week I suggested it might be time for a rethink and this is the result. I'm delighted by the change and really hope you like it too!
You will have received an update from Unbound telling you the book has reached the pre-press stage, ready for the copy edit and proof-reading. The last few promises are beginning to be fulfilled and the first of the rewards set up. I'm excited about the progress so far and very optimistic about the finished product. At a talk I gave last week to ARU's Creative Writing MA students I met author Helen Taylor whose novel The Backstreets of Purgatory was published by Unbound in July - and it looks and feels beautiful. I'm sure The Tango Effect will be similarly impressive.
Finally for now a shamefully belated THANK YOU to Karthryn Tomlinson who contributed to the funding before Christmas, and to Nicola Dodd, Kerry O'Connell and Wimp Wimp for their recent generous contributions. (I'm wondering if Wimp Wimp is the Wimp I met at Susie's Birthday Bash in the Portland Arms several years ago?!)
