BOOK LAUNCHES, CELEBRATIONS & THE CORONAVIRUS
So what we have in place at the moment is an ambitious double: a bijou event on the official publication date, 2nd April, at the Amnesty Bookshop on Mill Road in Cambridge and the Easter Monday milonga on 13th April., a much bigger affair, with potentially over 100 dancers and several non-dancing guests.
Sadly, I am afraid that the status of both events is now uncertain in the light of the coronavirus. I will post a further update here as soon as I have any definite news but it takes a little time for the posts to be authorised and published so do please keep an eye on the latest government bulletins www.gov.uk/coronavirus The Cambridge Tango facebook page also has up-to-the-minute information about forthcoming events including the Easter Monday milonga.
Of course I am still hoping that the planned events will be able to go ahead. If they do, please follow government advice and make your own decision about whether to attend, with a view to safe-guarding your own health and that of others. If we do have to cancel, I will aim to arrange some kind of celebration at a later date. In the meantime, my sincere and heartfelt thanks to each one of you: you made The Tango Effect a reality. Without your generous support, the book would still be mouldering in a virtual drawer!
