The Writing Bunker
Eleven months after Darwin’s Soldiers was released into the wild… and I’m still locked in the writing bunker!
As you can see from the latest photo, I’m being held by an invisible army (a burly guard is seated in the corner) and have taken to typing the Survival Machines manuscript onto gossamer, spider web paper. I’ve been sending the book to the outside world, chapter by chapter, using a fleet of strong-clawed ladybirds who have flown day and night to the desks of the Unbound Editors who have enjoyed every word, or so I am told. Somewhere along the way I may have lost my mind…
Back to reality and everything’s looking great! I hope you’re all having a relaxing summer, reading books and drinking just enough gin to have interesting dreams whilst avoid those tedious morning headaches? A huge welcome to the newest members of Team Darwin! Thank you for taking the time to support The Origin Trilogy - thanks to you all we are now 65% funded!
New readers are joining us every week, following John’s journey into the unknown and, as I’ve mentioned before, I’m now working on the third and final book in the trilogy – Origin Wars – and the ideas are still flowing! If you enjoyed Darwin’s Soldiers you’ll be glad to know the adventure cranks up a notch with every turn and, as Crossley would say, you’re in for a helluva ride!
