The Special Ones

Survival Machines is 35% funded!

Team Survival, you are my ‘special ones’. That doesn’t mean I think of you as a group of Jose Mourinhos, no, I think of you as my team of amazing readers and I appreciate your incredible support! It’s been great fun talking to you about Darwin’s Soldiers and about ideas for developing the rest of The Origin Trilogy.

The first draft of Survival Machines is coming along really well. I’m working on the last few chapters now, so I’m about 85% of the way through. As the climax builds we’re getting some new reveals from characters in the first book and new characters are coming into their own. Unfortunately, as tensions rise along with the stakes, a few heads will have to roll as well (sorry!).

I’m thinking about shaving off my Spartan/Viking beard when draft one is complete… which gives me an idea. Lee Child starts a new novel every September. Maybe I could stop shaving when I start a new novel? Let the beard grow as the book expands... just don’t ask me how the book’s coming along if I look like Charles Darwin.

We’ve added a new 'bundle' pledge level for anyone who hasn’t read Darwin’s Soldiers, which gives them both books, so if you know anyone who’d be interested send them this way!

Oh, and if you haven’t already done so, please leave a review of Darwin’s Soldiers on Amazon or Goodreads. It really helps improve the chance of the book being discovered by new readers!
