I hope you are all well and keeping safe?
I had some time in real isolation recently – quarantined from my family in my own home - and it reminded me of crossing the Atlantic a few years ago, on a cruise ship to Greenland, only this time without the showgirls, cocktails and dolphins. Maybe it was more like a one way trip to Mars? I feel like I’ve had the training now, Mr Musk, sign me up!
During the lockdown, the editors and I have been dissecting and bolstering the Darwin’s Soldiers sequel – Survival Machines – which will soon have its cover! I have also set up a newsletter and will soon be posting out exclusive short stories from the Origin Trilogy universe. Here’s the sign-up page: https://t.co/EbpSWisz5e?amp=1
Venturing away from Sci-fi for a bit, I thought I’d try my hand at crime (fiction). My latest novel will be published this Monday (22nd June)!
‘The Penguin Killer’ follows Luke Redfern in his second-hand bookshop in Brighton during the Britpop summer of 1995. As Luke and his band, Beachhead, try to make the big time, his bookshop becomes the centre of police investigation into a serial killer leaving vintage penguin books at the murder scenes. Enjoy!
