Please don't think I don't love you... because I do.
I love all of my pledgers with a fierce and unearthly passion that only a strange crowdfunding writer could.
Don't think that a lack of Updates means a lack of feeling. It's just this year has held weird new lands for me and navigating them was filled with adventure and challenges fit for a wannabe Frodo. (I am size appropriate, which helps.) Not sure who Gollum is this analogy... probably best not to pry that one open.
There was an amble in the forests of, 'Whoop Sour Fruit Is Coming Out This Year... Oh No, I Did A Sick.'
A sudden and scary venture down the river of, 'Stop Tweaking You Have To Leave It The Fuck Alone Now'.
All the way to the fearful; 'Existential Fear Of Everyone Reading My Book And Avoiding Me Because It's Utter Shite' Mountain.
So while bruised and emotional scarred waiting for those goddam ex-machine eagles to swoop down and save me from what turned out to be a bloody hard quest, I am happy.
I've written a novel. A whole one, not an idea of one or half a one, a whole 94,000 words that make sense. It's real, and it's out bloody soon. Despite my hardboiled psyche I can't help but smile, because I've achieved something, I (and many an English teacher forced to mark my homework) never thought I would.
An author's swagger.
When it comes to writing I think Mr H says it best...
So in celebration of kicking The Lord of Procrastination's arse and finally finishing something... I'm giving away free shit! Yeah, you heard me right...free!
A personalised signed copy of my book (when it's out which will be bloody soon did I mention that?) sent anywhere in the world.
What do I have to do to earn such a fabulous prize? Sell my nan? Some sort of trial by fire? I hear you ask...
