A Little Update

This book, more than any other I have written through Unbound, is developing as I write it. That's not really surprising, it's just what happens, however on re-reading the synopsys on the launch page, it's getting a bit embarrassing.

With all three previous books I'd either written most of it by the time Unbound started (News from Gardenia) or had a very clear idea where it was going before we launched the Unbound campaign.

Josh Joshi and the Great Divide is proving to be very different. The synopsys of the book, written months ago, is not going to accurately match what I'm writing.

For a start the story now begins in London, a huge and populous London. It's not called England, that doesn't work, it's called London, it is London, just much bigger.

The characters mentioned in the synopsys are refusing to appear, the story is bringing in new characters I'd never previously thought about.

Other than that and a few minor details, the story is going to be much the same. Josh Joshi is going to go over (or maybe under) the great divide, and what happens when he gets there.... I don't quite know yet but I'm looking forward to finding out.

All part of the creative cut & thrust :)

looking forward to further interactions where perhaps (what I call) pledgers can play a part in how things develop :)

Having read the "News" series, I'm confident the ultimate result of this will be entertaining and thought provoking. I look forward to it.

That's fine Robert. I hope nobody else minds me speaking for everyone who has pledged so far (and if they do mind I trust they will let me know), but we pledged early because we trust you to do a good job.

Big thanks for the update though, more shed-action is always welcome.
