The Wintry Wonderland of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight - a short film for you to enjoy.

Dear Gawain reader,

With the recent cold snap I was reminded of the fabulous descriptions of winter in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and I have produced a film featuring readings from various parts of the poem.

In the film, I dip in and out of the original Middle English poem while subtitles, featuring my translation of the work, keep you on track with the narrative.

I hope you enjoy the film and the very special language of the anonymous fourteenth century poet. If you have not done so yet and would like to support my next illustrated translation - the fourteenth century MIddle English alliterative romance William and the Werewolf - please do so here.

The book is currently 75% funded so there's still some way to go so every pledger counts! Remember, as a patron, your name will be printed in the back of the book - and you'll also help to bring this long-neglected magical work back into public circulation!

In the meantime, I would like to wish you a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Let's hope 2023 brings better fortune for all of us.
