Exciting News!

Dear supporters of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,

Exciting news! I am posting this brief update to tell you all that last week I submitted the amended page proofs of the book to Unbound; very shortly the book itself will be ready to go to print. Publication is drawing ever closer!

Still time for friends to have their names in the back:

Unbound tells me that the book will go to print on 11th February, after which no more supporter names can be printed in the back. If you know of others who would be interested in supporting the book (and who would like to have their name printed in the back), please do pass on this update to them. To be sure of their name appearing in the back, they'll need to pledge before 11th February.

Alternatively, if you wanted to surprise a friend with their own copy as a special gift (e.g. a signed or dedicated copy), it is also possible to pledge in your name but change the name which appears in the back of the book - and the (hand-written) dedication in the front.

It's only been with your help (and that of every other pledger) that my new illustrated edition of this masterpiece of mediaeval literature has been possible; I am forever indebted to you for your support.

Thank you once again for supporting Sir Gawain on this journey.

Kind regards

Michael Smith
