Well! What an amazing couple of weeks! You’ve all been absolutely incredible.

Over the last two weekends I’ve been taking part in Stroud Open Studios with Atelier (a fantastic creative hub with affordable workspace in the heart of the Cotswolds). I gave a talk about ‘Sew on the Go’ to a very empathetic audience, sold a range of handmade and vintage goodies, led a macrame workshop using only sustainable materials and met a great number of wonderful people.

One of the loveliest surprises was being presented with this fantastic picture of Bambi (and me in my upcycled curtain dress!) by Janine Chisholm, an author and illustrator herself. She wrote the book Thrifty Style in 2012, all about repurposing your wardrobe with fashionable flair and came along to my talk at Atelier. The following week Janine popped down the road again and gave me this picture - I was bowled over. I love it so much that it’s going to feature in the book. Thankyou so much Janine. That wasn’t the only happy moment of the week. Imagine how thrilled I was to find that by yesterday evening ‘Sew on the Go’ had reached the amazing figure of 90% funded! Isn’t that just fantastic news?

We’re so nearly there.....! Just 10% more to go......can we do it? YES WE CAN!!!

I really need to try and finish my manuscript now!
