Title: '"It's too spicy", and other such bulls**t; disrupting inequalities in hospitality and food publishing'
Synopsis: Coming from a healthcare background where care and collaboration are at the centre of its ethos, the unregulated world of hospitality was a gigantic culture shock. Racism, sexism, and systemic issues that contribute to poor mental health are rife, and sadly, expected. As an previous occupational therapist, I am well placed to tackle the alienation faced by women and gender queer chefs of colour, starting with a book which brings cooking back to it's caring roots, putting POC chefs at it's core.
