Senseless
By Anna Lickley
Senseless is at heart an illustration of the messy unpredictability of love and life and the resilience of the human spirit.

Hello lovely supporters,
Getting Senseless ready to publish has been delayed because I’ve had to go to hospital for an emergency op to remove a growing, benign, brain tumour. The op was only two weeks ago and went amazingly well.
I had been starting to lose my ability to use language, getting words mixed up or forgetting them completely. Incredibly, the doctors got the whole nasty thing out and my language use is very nearly back to normal. So so pleased as I have my next book to write J
Here is a photo of me in hospital after I’d just taken the bandage off, the stitches are out and I have washed my hair since!
I’m recovering so well that things have started again with Senseless and I hope you received the exciting email from Unbound earlier to say that it will be finished and published very soon (next few weeks I think)
The front cover picture is decided and the full cover is being put together right now. I’ll have a cover I can share with you very soon.
Last month and early this one have been horrible but from now, things get exciting again for sure.
Can’t wait!

So sorry you had to go through this, but what great news that it's resolved and you're healing well, and most of all, that you can carry on writing! Sending you encouragement and looking forward so much to reading Senseless, whenever it's ready. All the best, Sarah Bellwood (old Perse schoolmate of your mum)
