Have you ever noticed that one of the first things that the folks in charge do is try to make their opponents despondent? Whether it's business owners saying that a minimum wage will destroy the economy, health insurance companies warning that universal healthcare will mean a decline in standards, or people excusing the sale of arms to antidemocratic regimes with a shrug of "well if we don't, someone else will", the goal of their message is to make you believe that a change to the status quo is always for the worse. They want you to give up hope. Why would anyone with your best interests at heart want you to give up the thing that drives you to look forward to the future?
As the world continues to hurtle down the path I laid out in a fictional novel, I'll be posting a weekly update on the good things that are going on in the world as a small counter to the barrage of negativity that is news/politics at the moment. I'm also making a RESET bingo card for whenever a policy/event is lifted from the manuscript.
I've still got a ways to go, to hit my target, and I am grateful to everyone who has got on board so far. If you could tell your friends/family/followers about the fiction book that has become topical satire before it's even published (and get them to pledge what they can) I would be even further in your debt.
Also, RESET now has an Instagram account @resetthenarrative where I'll be posting screengrabs and teasers, so if you prefer your updates of the visual variety, give it a follow!
Remember, everything is impossible until it's done.
