I have had so much going on recently that I feel I must share it with you.
Firstly, the crowdfunding campaign for Razia is beginning to gain quite a lot of attention. I was on BBC Radio West MIdlands recently talking about it, and I will be on the Breakfast show on BBC Radio Leeds on Monday 17 July so listen in if you can. I have also filmed an interview with British Muslim TV (sky channel 845 & Freeview 244) which will be aired soon.
I have a wonderful Razia Eid Dinner/Pledge Party & Charity fundraiser comining up on Saturday 22 July. If you are local to the West Midlands (and even if you are not!) book your tickets as soon as possible (as places are limited) at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/razia-tickets-35536840647?aff=es2
The evening will consist of a delicious three course traditional Pakistani Eid meal (cooked by me!), goody bags, music, entertainment, henna painting, fantastic raffle prizes (the proceeds for which will go to Women's Aid) and of course everyone who buys a ticket will receive a special edition hardback copy of my book Razia as soon as it is published.
On a totally different note, I have some wonderful news that I would love to share; I am honoured to have been asked to be a Patron for, and speak at, the first ever International Youth Summit in Lahore, Pakistan, in November of this year. Much of my novel is set in Pakistan, and whilst Britain is most definitely my home, my parents emigrated from there, so on a personal level this is a very special moment for me to have been asked to be part of such a vitally importand and much needed event based in my country of origin which has seen its fair share of difficulties over recent times..You can find all the details here https://iysl.csrp.org.pk/
If you haven'r already done so, I hope you will take a few moments to pledge your support for Razia. Thank you.
