Let's get quizzical!

Hello gang, we hope you’re all keeping well during these uncertain lockdown times. To try and help keep us all connected, and stop us from all chasing our tails in circles, we’ve set up a little something for your entertainment and viewing pleasure…

First of all, let us remind you of a type of establishment that was once found throughout the land, and which provided the core foundation for British society – enabling us, through the consumption of readily available alcohol – to tolerate (and sometimes even enjoy) the existence of other human beings.

That’s right, we’re talking about the pub. Our locals may all have been shuttered, but that doesn’t mean we can’t all (virtually) get together, have a drink or three, and partake in one of those classic weekly pub-based activities: a pub quiz.

We’re aware there’s a veritable plethora of virtual pub quizzes and other digital activity competing for your time right now, but unlike Yoga with Adrian, we won’t make you feel guilty for drinking copious amounts of booze while making your way through your massive stockpile of chocolate biscuits (in fact, that’s positively encouraged!)

So, we’d absolutely love it if you could join us for our first ever ‘pup’ quiz on Thursday 14th May, where we’ll be testing your knowledge of philoso-furs, pup culture, infamous ‘pup-lick’ enemies, and whether you know how to be a ‘good’ dog (there may also be an art round).

And, if that wasn’t enough to tempt you to get involved, we’ll also be offering positively pawesome PRIZES to the winning teams, including original art prints, personalised ‘dog-rees’ for your pooches, and (of course) signed copies of our book.

So, get thinking of your team names, (the punnier the better), and put the date & time in your lockdown calendars. Full details here below:

  • 7pm on Thursday 14th May, via Youtube Live (preview link is here - https://youtu.be/os5EFXfB-QI)
  • Join in the conversation on Twitter using the hashtags #PupQuiz and #PhilosophersDogs (you can tag us at @PhilosophyDogs and Unbound at @Unbounders)

The quiz is free completely free, but, if you’d like to make a small contribution, there is a Paypal pool link If you’re able to make a donation, however small, that would be, beyond fantastic. Of course, if you haven’t already, you can sign up for, or upgrade your existing pledge for one of our rewards on offer via our Unbound page.

Thanks so much, amigos! And please do help us spread the word, by sharing the various links above with your friends & family and encouraging them to join in.
