Paper Tigers; martial arts and misadventure in Japan, coming soon...

Stop the press! Somebody alert Richard & Judy. Paper Tigers has finally reached its crowdfunding target and is now 101% funded!

This is incredibly exciting, fantastic news and I cannot wait to get the ball rolling and begin the next stage. Specifically, the editing process, cover design, more writing, posing for black and white photos in front of bookshelves, staring into the distance meaningfully etc.

I am so very grateful to you for supporting this book and would like to thank each and every one of you (hopefully in person at some point).

Like most aspiring writers my regard for my work swings wildly between feeling unworthy and pondering my Booker Prize acceptance speech (hopefully it’s somewhere in between). When Paper Tigers was first accepted by Unbound I was of course elated, but also extremely nervous of everyone's reaction to putting it out there. It is a tribute to you guys that you have helped generate the interest, belief and generosity to fund this project. Many of you have thrown your energy and support into this in a way that has humbled me and made me feel immensely proud of my friends and family.

So, this is the beginning of something entirely new and exciting for me. I will let you know how things are progressing with the occasional blog post and update. People are still able to pre-order Paper Tigers during the editing process, so if you know anyone who likes a good read please continue to spread the word.

Ultimately though, I look forward to you reading my book.

Much love and thanks,

Toby x
