30% and Thank You All
Hello Dear Supporters,
We have now reached 30% of the funding target with 112 people signed up. So a big thank you to everyone who has come on board so far. It was never going to be easy and is going to take a while, but I am determined to get this book out into the world.
So in the months ahead I am planning to run a series of writing workshops and events to promote the book and will let you know what is going on though updates here.
Meanwhile I would like to share a song I recorded in 2012. I had written the music for a play at Soho Theatre in London called The Kingdom, about the Irish workers who built the motorways of Britain. One day, a member of the cast handed me some lyrics inspired by the play. Because his day job was a stand up comedian, I assumed it would be a funny song, but the lyrics were beautiful, so I set them to music. Then, back home I recorded the song in my shed. Of course, in those days, I was too shy to very sing it in front of anyone, so until last year, it only existed as a recording.
I hope you like it.
And thank you again.
