Guess what I'm up to? I'm filling in a questionnaire to help inspire a designer to come up with some zingy ideas for the cover of Note to Boy. How thrilling is that?

What are the themes of the book? What images and colours might evoke it, and why? What are its recurring motifs and symbols? These are some of the questions that have had me scratching my post-festivities fuddled head.

Tempting though it is to say, 'I don't know, do I? I just wrote it,' that will not do. I have to knuckle under and give these questions some thought.

Because we do, don't we, judge a book by its cover? There are some cracking designs out there and Note to Boy needs to stand out in the bookshelves.
