In Other News: Poetry Book Awards 2020 Long List
[Since this is the cover of one of my own books, I think I'm allowed the use of it, eh?]
Like most people who write, I write poetry, prose, fiction, life-writing, short stories, flash-fiction, bloggery et al. Writing is like anything else, the more you practice, the better you get, but you never know everything. Poetry helps me with other writing because it's so hard to do competently. Especially formal poetry, rather than free(style) poetry, although that brings its own challenges. Anyway, in news completely unrelated to Unbound, No Good Deed, Gibbous House or The Maleficent Mister Moffat, I found out this week that my poetry collection Last Night I Met John Adcock, published by Cerasus Poetry, made the long list for the 2020 Poetry Book Awards. I am both amazed and pleased by this.
Why not try it yourself, you may be surprised at what it contains.
