Designs for new covers

I would love to hear what you think of the new cover designs for books 1 and 2 of the News from... trilogy.

The cover for News from Gardenia is approved, this is for the new paperback.

The lettering on the News from the Squares is just a rough to get an idea, obviously when it's completed the text will be aligned so it's the same on both books.

The spines, so many people have asked about the spines. OMG, the spines. I don't know about the spines!

Let me know here or on Twitter.  @bobbyllew

Really nice! Although the News from the Squares one wont really go with the original Gardenia cover... Any chance of getting just the new cover for Gardenia so I can keep them matching on my book shelf? ;-)

Hi Anne-Marie,

The plan is that everyone who has pledged support for both books will get a new 'Gardenia' cover. Hopefully that will encourage a few more people to pledge!

Thanks for your feedback!

I like lefty, it seems more uplifting which is where I think the book is heading and my moustache agrees with me. See you at the party :-}>

I like the one on the left, the one on the right looks a bit blurred and darker in character...

I love the Green/teal combo with the lighter background for Gardenia. Just afraid Squares is too dark a background with the lighter text. ooh, I get a new cover for the first one, too? Yah!

Prefer the lighter coloured cover. Mind you , the cover of the 1st edition is much better.

Like 'em both - I presume each reflects the mood of the books, meaning the second is slightly darker? Looking forward to reading Squares, and the party, and the meal... and the track eventually :-)

I liked the original hardback cover we have (it fits in beautifully with my collection of antique books!), kind of an old meets new design. I'm not so keen on these, they look like a crime thriller you'd find in Smiths... Still very much looking forward to what's inside though!
