Editing and Cover
We’re two big steps closer now to launching Mister Woodreeve’s Reflection. I’ve spent quite a bit of the last month making lots of small revisions in the light of some very helpful editorial comments – and have now submitted the final version for copy-editing, where my spelling, punctuation and grammar will be scrutinised. Fingers crossed!
Meanwhile, I filled in a detailed design questionnaire, to get the ball rolling on cover design. After discussions and rough copies back and forth, art director Mark has come up with a super design, which really seems to capture the tone of the novel. You’ll see Emma reaching out from the everyday world into the mysterious land beyond, only a hair’s breadth away…
The launch is starting to get closer – hopefully in early October now. I’m looking forward to being able to invite my generous subscribers to introduce you to the fictional characters, and tell you a bit about what happens to them. This could be your chance to win a copy of the manuscript – which may become priceless in the future, who knows.
More information will follow when I have a definite launch date, and I’ll book somewhere for us to meet up, probably in Hexham.
