Miles on Autobiographies
Greetings lovely supporters!
It has been a while since we posted an update. Apologies for our tardiness but we have been beavering away behind the scenes trying to get this book funded. Progress, we can report, is slow but steady. We are reliably informed that every project on Unbound that has reached 70% of its target has subsequently gone on to be published, so you can imagine our excitement/apprehension/frustration at our current status of 69% funded.
We have 130 backers so far so we probably need another 70 or so to get to 100%, and the sooner we do that the sooner you will have My Mother, The Bearded Lady in your hands. So, if any of you feel like spreading the word, if any of you can think of one, just one, other person who may be interested in helping to make this book happen, then do please tell them about it. It really could make all the difference.
In the meantime, by way of thank you for your patience, here is an email from Miles to a producer at the BBC on the subject of autobiographies.
This, and many other examples of Miles' correspondence, will more than likely appear in the book. We'll be making the final selection just as soon as we hit 100%.
