Boxes, Dogs and Whittling Down

I was back in Limpley Stoke last week, to work with Caroline and her friend, Megan, on the next round of the selection process. We made excellent progress and I think one more session, scheduled for early October, will be all we need to have the final content for the book in place.

But it has been rather a large job. Just look at the boxes and boxes of material that had to be sorted through.

Although we did have help from an unpaid four-legged assistant.

When I say 'help', I mean he ran off with some letters and took some persuading to return them.

The book is subtitled 'The Selected Letters of Miles Kington' for a very good reason. Miles kept copies of every letter he sent or received. There are thousands of them. We are only going to include a couple of hundred in the final book.

But they will all be gems of one sort or another and we look forward to sharing them with you.

Watch out for another update very soon with some tantalising images of letters Miles received from the great and the good.
