Hello dear supporters,
It's Sunday and the weekend of Canadian Thanksgiving. What I'm grateful for: a wonderful family and dear friends, a loving partner, my health, enough money to enable me to eat, a roof over my head, and some creative ideas in my head. I'm also grateful for YOU, for having earned your support and belief in this project. We're at 67% funded now and once the 3% comes to bring us up to 70% it'll be like skiing downhill from there, right?
Writing is a messy, disorganized, insular sport - that's how I experience it. Sharing the writing with others is the opposite: one must be organized, have the brain of an editor, and work with a team of readers to get reactions, then the Unbound team of copy writers to ensure there are no mistakes, and then hopefully the publisher, Penguin Random House, to get these stories out into the world.
Since it's a lazy Sunday I wanted to share some images of my writing with you so that this project seems more concrete than just some hazy online idea. If we reach 100% the collection will be an ebook which means anyone can order it from anywhere. My biggest hope is that the stories in LOVE BITES cross cultures and speak to the human experience, to the dreams and fears of other readers and writers.
Since you've already generously donated your time and money to my project I'd like to ask if you would simply share this link with your friends, family, clubs, buddies, acquaintances online and see if we can spread the word to get up to the top of that hill. I'd like to stop crawling up and be able to ski down to the finish line. It'd be amazing if you would join me to celebrate.
