Living Food - A Feast for Soil & Soul explores how to revitalise ritual everyday, every mouthful, with Autumn guest writer, Miche Fabre Lewin - here's a small excerpt:
Why do we need rituals?
Food growing, food making and food sharing - these are ways in which we discover we are part of nature. These practices with food are also the simplest routes to understanding that we live in world of exchange and interconnectedness with the environment. Sharing food together around a table can be a familiar pleasure … the food is feeding our bodies and the conversation and company can be nourishing our souls. Food rituals and ceremonies offer a special time and place for respecting through beauty, our relationship with soil, plants and animals.
