Dalmuir Library on Saturday, 19th November at 11.30am

Oh, no, you’re probably thinking. He’s back. I thought when we bought his book that would shut him up and get rid of him. You’re not that lucky. If you’ve read the book, which I take it most of you have by now, or even if you haven’t read the book, kid on you have, just the same as I kidded on I wrote a book, and leave a review at Amazon or Goodreads (or both). I could tell you about algorithms, how they work in bookselling and how they rule the world, but that was before the shock of Donald J Trump. I don’t understand how anything works. OK back to my big news that is no news at all, I’m giving a talk about my book in Dalmuir Library on Saturday, 19th November at 11.30am. If you’re in the area drop in, if not, that’s OK. I’m going to listen to Richard Holloway speaking on 17th November in the same place and I’m going to buy his book. He was bishop of something and I’m bishop of nothing, but in the bookselling world we’re equals, even before God.

I’d like to thank you all for coming to my book launch. Much appreciated. And remember I’ve seen you all drunk and have enough material on you to blackmail you into buying another copy of my book for Christmas. I’m sure former Bishop Richard Holloway will join me in saying, Christmas, fuck, right off.  Remember it’s a sin not to buy somebody, you don’t like, my book for Christmas, and a cardinal sin not to leave a review.  Remember to share this post. If I get enough retwets and facebook shares I could end up American President. That wouldn't be a bad thng, surely?
