Happy new year, exhibition details, strip for XR, and podcast
Hello everyone
2020 is here, I hope it brings you all much peace, thrill or whatever it is you want and need.
I'm delighted to have started the year with a solo exhibition which shows some works in progress for 'Like an Orange', as well as pages from my upcoming book 'Wings' about my time working in HMP Wandsworth. Also included are some meditation tree drawings that I like to do for grounding and connecting to the beautiful outdoors (a strip about drawing the tree from my window will soon be appearing in the next paper from Extinction Rebellion, 'Hourglass', so do look out for that too!)
The opening was last night in Kensal Rise, London, and will be running till 17th Feb. Flyer attached for address details if you'd like to pop along. It's a great indie cinema, a lovely space and very good programming - I recommend you catch a film at the same time!
Bit of fun...before all that Christmas countdown mayhem began, I did a podcast with fellow Unbound author Mark Bowsher and his flat mate Ellie Harris who had to try and guess what 'Like an Orange' is about based on 3 books that have inspired me for this project. If you'd like to take a listen, here it is! https://soundcloud.com/pokingbooks/1-wallis-and-the-kumquat-conudrum-aka-basic-orange
Thank you all for your support in this project, take the very best of care,
Wallis
