The Agony Before The Ecstasy
I’ve grandly bastardised the title of the classic historical fiction about Michaelangelo battling the Pope and his own inner demons to complete the Sistine Chapel. Whilst my graphic novel is hardly on the same scale, it has certainly filled me with enough challenges, self doubt and external obstacles to make me want to tear down the metaphorical scaffolding and admit defeat.
With a few months left before I hit the deadline I must accept that battle fatigue is a natural part of the process and I am not the first creative person to wake up from the dream of enthusiasm to the reality of doing the job.
I am doing just that. I’ve decided not to post any finished work here or on social media. But here are some glimpses of work in progress.
Knowing that I have you, my supporters, waiting at the end of the finish line is keeping me going! Thank you again for your faith and patience!

It is always darkest just before dawn, isn't it Jessica?
You will get there and as you rightly say, we are all behind you.
