Going into print... the first Legends of the Leaf illustration is complete!
While I am hard at work writing Legends of the Leaf, my collaborator Helen Entwisle is creating 25 bespoke illustrations for each of the 25 plants I am profiling. This video shows Helen screen printing her illustration of the begonia onto Fabriano Rosaspina paper in no less than seven colours. Doesn't it look great?
This is a limited print run of 25, exclusively available as a reward for those pre-ordering the book. You can bag yourself one of these prints by preordering your copy of Legends of the Leaf and choosing the 'book art print' reward level: if you've already pre-ordered but want to upgrade, use code UPGRADELEAF15 for 15% off your upgrade.
How's the writing going, you may ask? It's pure pleasure to be honest. Reading academic papers, books, consulting experts in the field... then boiling down all that knowledge into crisp, understandable copy. I'll try to keep you updated at every stage of the process, in the knowledge that it's YOU who made Legends of the Leaf happen. Thankyou.
