By Dan Brotzel, Martin Jenkins, Alex Woolf

A farcical novel-in-emails about an eccentric writers group. They've all got a book in them, unfortunately.

Thank you to our fellow Unbounders

We've been very lucky in recent weeks to get some support from some of our fellow Unbound authors, and in the process to find out more about the incredible variety of projects that are currently funding. Over the next few weeks we'll try and highlight a few...

Erica Buist's This Party's Dead is an extraordinary exploration of death festivals around the world, triggered by a heart-beaking personal bereavement. It's just hit 100% funded and we can't wait to see it.

Narrated by three generations, Emma Grae's be guid tae yer mammy is a darkly comic family drama set in modern-day Scotland. It promises to be a gripping, entertaining read, but Emma also hopes that the book will be a warning about the potentially devastating effects of seemingly inconsequential gossip, and help to break the stigma surrounding invisible illnesses.

Emma recently shared an interview for Unbound with Allan Massie, a Scottish English teacher whose debut novel The Mash House is a story about secrets, death, and malt whiskey that was inspired by his time working in the Highlands as a probationer.

And still on the Scottish theme, Dan recently revealed the cover for his debut collection of short stories Hotel du Jack, published by Inverness-based Sanstone Press...
