Six months on: What do you think?
Hello! I know it’s been awhile, but six months on from publication of Into the Mouth of the Lion, I wanted to say again a big thank you to you as a supporter. I couldn’t have done it without you! I am getting more reviews in blogs, online and in the media, and the book seems to be gaining momentum.
As I gear up for more author’s events at libraries, book clubs and local art shows, I am meeting more and more readers. I love hearing what people think of the book; there are many aspects that people interpret differently, such as the use of the second-person point of view, or the ending. I find it really interesting to hear what people see in the book, and how they experience it.
What do you think? If you’ve had the chance to read Into the Mouth of the Lion, what did you like about it? What did you not like? Did you think it would end that way? I would love to hear from you.
If you haven’t had the chance to read it yet, I know life gets busy but… go ahead! Dive in and give yourself a treat!
If you want to support an author, one of the best things you can do is leave a review on Amazon, Goodreads or any book selling or reading website. To all my readers who have left a review, thank you! If you haven’t yet, but want to, it only takes a few minutes, and it is really helpful to get the attention of future readers.
If you are friends with other book-ish people, or know of book groups, please help spread the word! I have been doing many of these events lately, in person and on zoom, and they are good fun. You get to hear more of the stories behind the story, and ask any questions you might have.
Also, please stay in touch! I have a semi-regular blog and newsletter, and I would love to keep in contact. To sign up for that, please go to www.abkyazze.com , scroll down and put in your email address. I promise not to spam you.

I was recently a guest on a Desert Island Disk blog. To see my choices of favourite books and watch some amazing footage of my all-time favourite jazz piano player, Oscar Peterson, please go to https://www.caronmckinlay.com/abkyazze
For those of you near southeast London, I am taking part in author events and a local art show called Lee Green Open Studios from 11am-5pm on the 13-14th and 20-21st November at Lochaber Hall on Manor Lane Terrace, SE13 5QL. It’s a lovely local event with a walking trail through artist’s workshops and houses, often with mulled wine and other offerings. I'll be selling copies of the book and photographs from Africa, Asia, and Europe. Please stop by! For more information go to http://www.leegreenopenstudios.com/whats-on-2021.html
I really want to hear what you think… so please do stop by an event and/or stay in touch!
Thanks again for supporting the publication of Into the Mouth of the Lion. You have been part of something special, and I really appreciate being connected.
Take care,
Amelia K
