(from Titian's Bacchus and Ariadne)
Bacchus isn't quite back yet, but we're getting there..
There's something very satisfying about reaching 60%. 50% was nice - halfway. But 60% is the standard exam pass mark (at least for the English language tests I mark on a daily basis), so 60% feels real, substantial. It's a pass!
111 people have pledged to buy In Exile so far. When I try to imagine the 111 of you in a room together - family, friends, colleagues, strangers - it blows my mind. Thank you so much, all of you, for pledging for the book and bringing me one step closer to achieving a lifelong dream...
So, now that I've "passed", what next?
I would like to be able to give you a clear timeline, and an approximate date of publication for In Exile, but unfortunately it's still too early for that. Until I reach 100% funding, I can only really speculate...But to give you a rough idea - once the novel is funded, it usually takes at least six months for the editing, cover design, printing etc, so earliest possible publication date is late 2018.
However, regardless of the publication date - whether it's December 2018 or March 2019 - the important thing is that In Exile will be published. And that's thanks to you. All of you are making this happen!
Till next time,
