The Book is in your hands! Sunday London signing cancelled. Vol 2 reaches 46%

Hey,

Most supporters now have books! Those who don't will very soon. It was really lovely to hear from those who enjoyed the book, I was really touched, thank you. Makes it all worthwhile. You made this book happen and have shaken up the old model of aviation book publishing. Lovely to meet some of you at the launch party last week, a great bunch of people.

Sadly, The Aviation Bookshop is unable to make the plastic model show this week which means we can't either, as we were to be on their stall, but I'm looking into arranging another London event soon. Gutted.

On the positive side, The Hush-Kit Book of Warplanes Vol 2 is now 46% towards hitting funding targets to happen. If this reaches 100% it will happen.

Yours in ekranoplans & Opticas

I might have missed something, but when will I get my order?

Still waiting for mine as well. If you used Royal Mail then this may account for the delays.

I am also awaiting my physical copy. I haven't seen a tracking number or anything, so... hopefully it shows up soon.

Can someone please (pretty, pretty please) provide a link to an ereader that will allow me to download and read the electronic copy we were given? There were zero (0) instructions provided, as far as I can tell, on how to download and read the book. Just... "Here's your epub file," with nothing to tell me how to use the damned thing.

Thank you in advance for some useful information on the subject.

Ah, I managed to figure it out. In case you had the same epub reading issue I had, download Adobe Digital Editions from https://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html. Put it in double-page view and it is viewable.

I sure wish this information was painfully obvious when downloading the book (hint, hint, Mr. Coles - HINT HINT HINT HINT HIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTT).

All I've been told is that due to being an extra reward level customer, and further merchandise is required to satisfy the order, that I get a further one month delay. You might have thought that this could have been foreseen/planned in advance, there was plenty of notice, probably not the best way to encourage people to subscribe to the higher reward levels.
I did appreciate the electronic copy of the book, it looks great and can't wait to actually get my hands on my copy.

Greetings from Down Under

Are the books being sent to Australia via surface mail? Any ideas how long the sailing ships will take to get to the Colonies?

Hello from British Columbia,

I received my hardcover edition about 10 days ago. I am delighted as it has exceeded my expectations for content and quality. I have flown military and commercial for a total of 43 years and haven't owned a book like this before. I will happily go for volume 2.

50% of the ebook is unreadable. I have tried a couple of different options, converted it to PDF and EPUB readers etc. The formatting however on the right hand page of every page is messed up so that it merges behind the left hand page.

Another reason why i haven't had any interest with Vol 2 sadly.

Hi All,

Unbound Support here! Glad to hear many of you are enjoying the ebook. If you are having trouble downloading it please email support@unbound.com and we'll do our best to help.

Those of you who haven't yet received your copies, please check you've confirmed the delivery address in your Unbound Account as we aren't able to send anything to an unconfirmed address.

We are very sorry in the delay in the extra merchandise. We were alerted by the supplier very late that they would not be able to fulfil the order on time which during peak has set us back in our schedule. We're in constant communication with them and our warehouse to get this out to you as soon as we possibly can. We know this is frustrating and appreciate your patience very much.

If you have any other concerns please do contact support, we're in our peak period so replies may take a little longer but we will get back to you.

All the best,

Lena

Received mine today. Looks good, although the section on "overrated aircraft" will not be good for many people's blood pressure!
