A big thanks to my Week 1 supporters and a reading of an excerpt

Monday, 19 December 2016

Hi everyone! I am excited to share with you the news that I am 22 per cent funded a week after launch. That is a fifth and it's Christmas week so people are poor (or rich in culture and thoughts, depending on how you look at it). I am touched that my supporters are not only my friends and family but also two of whom I do not know and have never met. You know who you are and I am happy to be listing your names in the book. My BFF from secondary school days Joon-nie has actually pledged the frontispiece which is the nearest and dearest thing you could do for me as a vulnerable artist who has sold her soul to social media. I would do the same for you and it's made a trememdous impact on launch week. Please watch the video, where I am reading an excerpt from near the beginning but not the beginning.

Please ask me any question and I will vlog or blog it. I would love to have more supporters to name, shame and to list so please don't hesitate to share my unbound link. It will help immigrant writers like me, writing on diversity and culture.

Bye for now, see you in my shed again, very soon. I will be thrilled to show you what a mixed frugal, international family like ours eat and drink at Christmas.
