Interviews with James Thornton & Simon Reddy; update
Friday 24th February 2017
A short update this week with links to interviews with James Thornton, CEO of Client Earth, and Simon Reddy, until recently Executive Director of the Global Ocean Commission, both of whom had many helpful and insightful things to say, and both of whom were inspiring in different ways.
James' organisation, Client Earth, uses the power of the law to bring about positive environmental change, on climate change, air pollution, forests, the marine environment and in other areas; Simon pulled together a powerful group of high level commissioners to lobby over several years for strong and effective political action to address the crisis in the ocean.
Both interviews are well worth listening to, and here are their links:

In other news, I had an intelligent and challenging group of 30 or so students at my talk on Tuesday evening, and enjoyed my attempt at conveying the core arguments of the book to them.
The writing is going fairly well, although still so much to do, and so I'm psyching myself up for a huge effort in March as the arrival of our first child comes closer ...
With warmest wishes as ever,
