What a year it has been! With a final burst of energy and pledges earlier this year, we were finally funded. 

THANK YOU for your support and all the granny love, we could not be doing this without you. Special thanks also goes out to the amazing list of foodies that have given us their grandmas’ recipes for the book, including Anna Jones, Maria Elia, Tomos Parry and John Chantarasak and to the people we have worked with this year to get our grannies and their recipes OUT there (you know who you are!)

Thanks to support from Brand USA and TTM World, we have just returned from a Great Granny Road trip through the USA, driving across the country from New York to Los Angeles, dipping right through North Carolina,  Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas before heading into Los Angeles for some much needed salad.

In five weeks we covered 8 states and cooked and conversed with 14 remarkable grandmothers... from a beautiful Azerbaijani granny in Brooklyn New York to shrimp-stewing grandmother Sharon in North Carolina then onto Tootsie, Texas’ leading 84-year-old pit master in Texas and finally, mighty activist grandmother Tish in Los Angeles. 

We also managed to sample the very BEST America has to offer on the food front - we’re going to share a PDF guide to our culinary road trip on our website for anyone wishing to follow our route through the best foodie spots the Bible Belt has to offer. Watch out for our granny road trip diary at Suitcase magazine, too. 

So great news for all those that pledged: the Grand Dishes book will be published in March 2021 - just in time for Mother’s Day (if you haven’t pledged already - you can preorder your copy here). That means plenty more granny missions in 2020 and a rather busy time for us testing all our recipes and writing the book to get the final manuscript over to Unbound.

Which finally brings us to our CHRISTMAS COMPETITION
