In the words of Bon Jovi: "Woah. We're halfway there."
Happy New Year everyone!
We reached a significant milestone over the festive period and I'm pleased to say that Glarnies, Green Berets & Goons is now 52% funded. Hoorah!
You may recall I mentioned the piece I wrote for The Guardian's 'Snapshot' back in November. I received a letter c/o The Guardian at the weekend from someone who saw the article. Her stepfather was a friend of Larry's and she spent a lot of time with him when she was a child. It was a fascinating letter and helped to fill in a few gaps about Larry's life for me and I have since been in touch with the writer via email. Among Larry's possessions was a photograph of a child who I had been unable to identify and guess what? Yes! It was a picture of the lady who wrote the letter to me!
Thanks to all of you who entered the 'Quick Christmas Competition'; your cracker jokes gave me a real giggle. Winners of the jelly babies were Janice Staines and David Saltmer so congratulations to you both. These were their winning jokes:
Janice
Q: When is it okay to eat pizza for Christmas dinner?
A: When it’s deep pan, crisp and even.
David
Q: On which side do chickens have the most feathers?
A: The Outside.
