I have followed Mr Yates' colourful memoires and fishing tails for many years. However, this book is the best. I have had the pleasure of fishing Redmire Pool but always wished I could have fished it in the era of Mr Dick Walker and Mr Yates and dream of fishing along side them. But this book is the nearest thing to that dream and as I sit with my cup of tea, this book takes you there and you feel part of the magic and the era when fishing was at its best and far from todays unimaginable and naïve world. So pleased the lost diary was found and Chris has released it for us all to enjoy. Great reading.
