Gin and Georgian Japes.

Well, hello.

You will have gathered by now that The Gin-Lane Gazette has hit the shops, especially if you are one of my long-suffering followers on Twitter. To mark this occasion, I've embarked on a series of speaking gigs, that thus far has taken me to the lovely Danson House, Bexleyheath, and the Waterstone's in my home town of Northampton, both of which venues afforded me a magnificent welcome and hospitality. I am humbled.

Tomorrow (April 15th), I'm speaking at Benjamin Franklin House, Craven Street, in That London, from noon. Entry is free (you can email info@benjaminfranklinhouse.org if you'd like more information), and we shall serve a tot of excellent Hendrick's Gin. The good folk at that distillery are supplying their splendid concoction at many of my forthcoming engagements, and I'll keep you posted on what's happening where, and when. I hope to see you soon.

In the meantime, I would be most obliged if you would spread the word about the book amongst all your friends, relations, retainers, and co-workers, and remember that if you'd like me to speak at your bookshop, museum, country house, brothel, or what have you, I am always open to offers. If you've enjoyed the book, perhaps you would consider writing a review on its Amazon, Waterstone's, Foyles, Unbound, and/or WHSmith's web pages.

Thank ye.
