that the person charged with keeping one and all informed of the feats and fine deeds of your hero Alasdair Moffat has been more than remiss in doing so. Volume One of my exploits is close to storming the curiosity shops and emporia in your vicinity. However, there have been some trifling hurdles to overcome. For example, I am convinced that this Lawrie fellow is unacquainted with good practice with regard to the use of a semi colon; or indeed a full stop.

Be that as it may, I am assured by the Boundless Ones that a manuscript will arrive among the Printer's Devils with some alacrity. If not, this scrivener Lawrie will receive some encouragement at the toe of my boot!

Well, best to all who wait in desperate anticipation, as well they should!
