Ghost Variations

By Jessica Duchen

The strangest detective story in the history of music

Sunday, 28 February 2016

You are warmly invited to the first public presentation of GHOST VARIATIONS!

On 21 March at the Hungarian Cultural Centre, London, at 7pm, I will be giving the first public presentation of GHOST VARIATIONS, together with my regular concert partners, violinist David Le Page and pianist Viv McLean. I'll start with an introductory talk about Jelly d'Arányi and the saga of the Schumann Violin Concerto, after which we will offer an alternation of readings from the book with music that was associated with Jelly - including pieces by Ravel (Tzigane, of course), Bartok, Hubay, Mendelssohn, Brahms and the small matter of some Schumann. Dave and Viv are fabulous, incidentally. The event will be approximately 75 minutes without a break. Admission is FREE, but places are limited and MUST please be booked in advance via the HCC.

You can find more details on the event, the performers and how to book here. http://www.london.balassiintezet.hu/en/events/current-events/983-0321-ghost-variations-by-jessica-duchen/

Hope to see you there!
