Canine Jubilee update July 2019
Hi all
This update is mostly about Canine Jubilee, so if you've either already pledged to that book or if you've no interest in it, there's no need to continue reading. Unless you're interested in the upcoming sidequel (!) PIece of Work - there's some info about that.
If you have some interest in Dan Matlock-featuring stories, and you've not yet pledged towards Canine Jubilee, then please a) read on and b) consider pledging to the book project.
That's the hard sell over.
I've not been massively pushing the crowdfunding for Canine Jubilee, in part because I'm interested to see what (if anything) it does by itself, and because also I did a lot of drum-banging for East of England last year and I don't want to wear other folk or myself out.
So here's where we're at. The sidequel Piece of Work (a short novel - 50,000 words-ish) is currently being drafted. The idea is that this'll be self-published late Oct / early Nov. This is a self-contained story that happens between East and Canine. I'll let you know when this is ready for pre-order and whatnot.
I'll have Canine Jubilee written by the time Piece of Work comes out. As I've said before, I'll make a judgement later in the year on whether to continue with the crowdfunding approach (my preference, though not an inevitability) or to take a self-published route. Either way, Canine Jubilee will be out in 2020, and there'll be other Dan Matlock stories and novels if there's a readership for them. If not, then not.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
Eamonn
