A sneak peek at the booook!
Hi everyone,
Just a short update this time, to let you know that I have actually held the proof copy of the Draw The Line book in my hands. And it's better than I ever could have imagined, thanks to sterling work by Woodrow Phoenix (cover designer), Simon Russell (interior pages designer) and Rich Hardiman (printer), plus the trusty proofing team of Michi Matthias, Zara Slattery... and me.
The cover is a beautiful matte, the colours are vibrant, the fonts are just so. But really, for me, it's the physicality of it - this thing that started as nothing more than an idea, and then existed only as online pixels for so long. Now it takes up actual space on a bookcase (and lends that bookcase rather a fabulous air of sophistication, I might say).
It really won't be long now. We've approved the proof, corrected a page that came out accidentally blank (oops! That's why you get proof copies, I guess) and pushed the big red metaphorical button while shouting, "Send this baby to print!".
You can see a quick flick-through that gives a great idea of what the book actually looks like, over on our Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/p/CHsXg_lBHAY/
Meanwhile - timelines. Rich says he's going to get us these books as soon as he possibly can, and that looks like we might just take delivery within November. Even if they're a little bit later than that, we'll be shipping early December at the very latest. The postage labels await, the boxes are here, and we have parcel tape. Now we just need all those things in the same room at the same time.
UK pledgers, you can expect your books within days of when we receive the shipment; international orders will take a little longer but should still be with you before Christmas.
As always, thanks for your patience. They will be with you very soon now.
