On this day, 22 years ago...
On 11 May 2001, Douglas Adams departed this plane of existence rather unexpectedly, aged just 49.
Supporter copies will be on their way to you in August this year. I can't wait for you to discover more of Douglas's thoughts and notes, previously unpublished.

Douglas was always one of my favorite authors. It was a sad day, indeed.
Looking forward to the book. I know it's been a tough journey. Thanks for all your hard work.

Great to see this reaching fruition. Sad to think he is gone so long.

So pleased you've made it this far.
Every year it seems more incredible that it's been so long since that day. "Taken too soon" is often used but rarely with such fervour :(

Thank you for all the amazing work and love you have poured into this project. Every year I remember where I was, sitting at my desk and weeping in the middle of the office. His everlasting brilliance, wit and humour keep us all able to enjoy the ride around the Universe <3

It is difficult to describe in words what Douglas Adams means to me. There is not a day going by where I don't wear my 42 hat, one of my 42 shirts, or read or listen to Douglas Adams work. I am by no means a fanatic, rather a connoisseur. Douglas Adams has shaped my life like no other. In two years time it will be my 42nd anniversary of reading The Guide for the first time and I plan my own little celebration then.
Until then I am looking forward to receiving your Book - I can't wait. I am so thankful for the work your putting into this project.
Stay hoopy, froods!
