No.1 Sunday Times Bestseller!

Dear 42 Supporters,

We did it!

We are thrilled to announce that 42: The Wildly Improbable Ideas of Douglas Adams has gone straight into the Sunday Times Bestseller list at #1!

This book simply wouldn’t have happened without you – from backing the original idea, to patiently waiting while the book came together and now sharing your photos and reviews of the book to get it out to as wide an audience as possible (don’t forget to tag us @unbounders). Thank you so much from everyone here at Unbound.

For those in the UK, tickets are on sale now for an evening celebrating Douglas Adams and 42 at the Southbank Centre on October 21st and we’d love to see you there! If you are further afield, why not join the British Library event (either remotely or on catch up) from this Friday?

Over 6,000 orders have been dispatched worldwide from our warehouse in the past couple of weeks and many of you will have already received your copies or will do so in the next few days. If you have any questions about your order, please contact support@unbound.com.  Please note we are currently receiving a high volume of messages and we will answer these as fast as we can.

Thank you again for your support and we look forward to bringing you many more incredible books in the future…

Happy reading!

Fab stuff. But. I am still awaiting a replacement for a damaged copy. And one of the artwork bundle copies…

I thought you ought to know about this: https://www.bl.uk/events/42-the-wildly-improbable-ideas-of-douglas-adams

It pains me to note it’s sold out in person but still available online.

So not just me then! Had an email reply after my last post with a Royal Mail tracking link…but it is not showing any progress. Perhaps i am living in a parallel universe where those who pledge more get less…

I haven't received either the book or any tracking info either. When do we get the tracking info and when can I expect to receive the book?

Still not got a tracking number, despite an email saying I would receive one. Feels chaotic, as has the whole project.

I received a tracking code, but need to pay 21.35 EUR import duty (Belgium). That’s steep considering what I contributed. Any way to circumvent this?

Damn. So aside from still not receiving my book, I'm going to have to pay customs? How about you take some of those sales numbers we contributed to and funnel a bit of that towards making things right?

So what was the benefit of funding this book again, I've completely forgotten.

Would be remiss of me to not to follow up on my earlier comment (4 Sep): both copies now received and undamaged. Hurrah.

Unbound customer services were good and quick to respond to direct queries.

Hope everyone gets their packages soon.

I got charged an extra $13 COD from your fulfillment partner Landmark Global before they would release the book to me, without any notification, reason, or documentation. This is after already prepaying 33.00 for shipping. This means that the shipping cost was the same as the book itself. I went into this eyes open about the original high shipping cost, but now I feel ripped off. Who do I speak to to dispute this deceptive hidden charge and get it refunded? I'm really leery now about the other two items that I've backed.
