Lots of Exciting Things
I have so many exciting things to share that I might explode!
THE PAPERBACK! - we did it! Thanks to you spreading the word we sold enough copies of the hard back for the good people of Unbound to take a punt on releasing a PAPERBACK! (So handy for the handbag) Set to be released on 6th Feb. I will share the cover design when I get it.
AUDIO BOOK! - An audio book of Don’t Hold My Head Down is in the offing and guess who is going to narrate it? ME!!! I am outlandishly excited about this. What a gig!
TV RIGHTS! - I met with an amazing production company who want to buy the rights and have the most exciting ideas about turning DHMHD into telly! More details when I have signed the contract? (cross everything!)
COME SAY HI
I’ve got some talkies lined up this month and next and they look set to be really fun. Do please come along to one if you can
Friday 13th September: CHELTENHAM
Cheltenham Well Being Festival - This is an event with some really awesome women - sexperts, Ali Fox, Nichi Hodgson and Laura Dodsworth. The event is called Womanhood: The Bare Reality. Message me for a discount code.
Thursday 19th September: LONDON
Vanguard Readings. Along with some other authors reading their books, I’ll be reading some of DHMHD.
7.30pm at The Pelican, 92 Peckham road, London SE15 5PY
Free - with a bar. Whoop! (no link for this one - I tried to do a poster and it was dreadful - so just rock up!)
24th September: BRIGHTON
Another Sex and Politics event with Robert Woodshaw. (author of The Iron Bird) We interview each other and act out bits from our books. It’s much fun. Probably (hopefully) the only time you will hear Thatcher and tantra discussed in the same night.
12th OCT: BIRMINGHAM
I’ll be at the Birmingham Literature Festival doing an event with two stonking authors, Lyn Enright (who wrote Vagina; A Re education) and Kate Davies (who wrote In at the Deep End)
Over and out for now. I hope to see you at one of these dates.
Lots of love and thanks
