90% and counting - when will the real work begin?
Well firstly and most importantly I would like to thank the 150 wonderful supporters who have given so generously to the campaign to have Dolly Considine's Hotel published. It is just awesome that we are 90% funded, and with apologies to the math geniuses among you, 90% means just 10% more to go; i can feel myself beginning to believe Dolly is going to be published. Or at least closer to being a published reality. Does hitting 100% mean that the hard work over Eamon? Well no, according to my fellow Unbounders; it's only the beginning. But that's what I'm looking forward to. Once all the funding is secure, Unbound will appoint an editor for Dolly and we will work together to get the manuscript into its final form. I'm really looking forward to this part of the process. I've done edits myself, but the really exciting and enjoyable part about editing is working with someone who believes in the work, someone who can bring fresh insights and understanding to the text, someone who will support my vision and help me to realise it. Dolly needs love. Roll on 100%

Dear Eamon, I really look forward to hearing about the progress and please keep us updated.
I was looking at some Dublin gay history stuff online from the 1980's recently and your name kept coming up and that's how I strayed into the world of DCH!. I loved seeing your piece about leaving your job at age 20 to try to write and how that brought you into the strange world which now gives rise to DCH. I really think that period up to mid 80's in Ireland (Dublin) is now quite interesting and it was before Ireland really changed - some of those changes working their way thru today.
